They call me Doe
As in Jane Doe
Doe is living on the streets, not knowing her name or anything about her background due to memory loss. She is befriended by a girl called Nikki who tells her the best she can hope for is to get close to a Biker who can shelter her and protect her.She knows what this means but sees no other option than agreeing to go to a party at King's house....
KINGDOEKing has just been released from prison and his friend Preppy is throwing him a welcome home party. While at the party Nikki makes a huge mistake and King decides Doe must re pay the debt by staying with him.She does make an escape only to be brought back by King.At this point, all is not what it seems though...
So I did something.Something that made the decision to go after her an easy one.A decision that would forever change the lives of everyone around me.
Some for the good.
Some for the bad.
Some for the dead.
I found out who Doe really was.
King is a complex character...Scary,fierce,a typical Alpha Male but deep down he had a softer side and a strong loyalty to those he cared about. What started of as one thing with Doe turned into something else along the way...
Doe,had a kind of innocence about her but also a fiesty spirit as she battled with the girl she was now and the one she left behind
The first half of the book IMO was about character development and it's not until the second half when things really start to happen. There are two great secondary characters in Bear and Preppy....oh Preppy what's not to love about him.He and King have been friends since a young age and have a strong friendship. The Author created such a brilliant, unique character in him..I just ADORED him...everyone should have a Preppy in their lives!!
There's been a lot said in reviews about the ending and my God the last 15% of this book was amazing.Something happened and I thought no the Author's not going there....and yes she totally did and I was .......well I'm not saying anything to spoil this.
Secrets are revealed and there's something that I totally wasn't expecting...
Brilliant,loved it...August can't come soon enough!!!!
