The Remaking of Corbin Wale is an unique story.I've read a few books by this Author and enjoyed them-but,this is something completely different. The writing is
special,and,
captivating, the story has a wonderful, almost, magical feel about it.
Alex Barrow has returned to his home town after his life in New York imploded in a matter of days. When his mother asks him to take over the running of the family cafe he sees his dream and sets about turning it into a Bakery. On opening day he catches sight of a beautiful young man who seems to be lost in his own world.
Corbin Wale is different.Shunned by people from a young age,he's lead a lonely life.People have labelled him a freak and he thinks he is one.He truly believes his family is cursed if they love someone....so he escapes into his own world where he has
people..a friend?,a lover?,.....someone who is there for him when he needs them.
Alex and Corbin are drawn to each other from their first encounter. It's not insta lust or love-it's almost as if an external force brought them together. This is an extremely slow burn which worked so well.Corbin sees the world differently from others-he sees beauty in simple things and reading the story from his pov was an absolute joy.No one came close to really understanding Corbin....until Alex.
Both men have pasts but in the end it's,quite simply,a beautiful love story.
Highly Recommended...
