Well,I've got to admit to being a total cover slut,I saw the title and cover and I was sold .....

The story opens with Carter being taken by his single mother to meet his grandparents at the age of five.
The door is slammed in their faces with one word being said to him Bastard.....

When he understands what the word means he feels totally worthless.

His mother marries when he is 17 to a complete dickhead and they move to Sydney to live with him.
Said,dickhead does nothing for his self esteem and treats him like shit.But he adores his mother and will do anything to make her happy so keeps quite






As soon as he arrives in his new neighbourhood a girl catches his eye...Indi.But Carter has a plan.As soon as he's 18,he's leaving Sydney and not looking back.
He tries to be a Bastard and push her away but they develop a love/hate relationship.
When he thinks he's getting too close he decides to leave...


Fast forward 5 years and Carter has to return home due to the death of his stepfather...

I don't want to go into the story too much more here.
There's drama but most of the second half was predictable.I could totally see what was coming and I just got bored and started skimming....
Maybe it's my fault, but I just expected more of a gritty story.

Overall a sweet,sexy story..if that's your thing I would recommend this......
